FINED FOR DEVICE THAT OBTAINS FREE SATELLITE

A former Petit-Rocher man was fined in Provincial Court in Bathurst Monday for having a device to obtain free satellite TV or cable.

Allan Savoie, 33, now residing in the Province of Quebec, appeared before Judge Frederic Arsenault (and) pleaded guilty to possession of an instrument or device design(ed or) used to obtain the use of a telecommunication service without paying for it. He was fined $300.00.

The Beresford Nigadoo Petit-Rocher Pointe-Vette Regional Police advise the population that an individual in possession of such a device will be prosecuted.
