RCMP SEIZE ILLEGAL SATELLITE TV EQUIPMENT

Saint John, N.B., Friday, September 14, 2007 - As a result of an ongoing investigation, RCMP "J" Division Federal Enforcement Section executed a search warrant in the St. Stephen area on Thursday, September 13th, 2007.

A large quantity of equipment and technology used in the programming of pirated satellite cards and in the theft of encrypted signals from Satellite Service Providers, such as Bell Express Vu and Direct TV,was seized.

This investigation is continuing and charges are expected to be laid.
